The purpose of the Livestock Pass Program is to provide a pathway for commercial livestock producer passholders to get limited access to their properties to care for stock during wildfire or similar disaster.
Livestock Passes will be issued to owners, operators, or managerial employees of commercial livestock operations. The property must live within the State Responsibility Area (see map here), be at least 20 acres in size, and be stocked with at least 20 head or 20 beehives. Prior to a Pass being issued, a qualified applicant must attend a 4-hour fire safety workshop presented by CalFire.
Please submit applications and qualifying documents to the Agricultural Commissioner’s Office prior to attending fire safety training.
